Reliable Coffeemaker

Coffee has been a part of our morning routine. It always feels good to wake up with the aroma of the coffee. Coffee comes in different brands and flavors. Hubby likes his coffee black. I prefer mine to have a little bit of sugar and enough creamer.

When we were in the Philippines, I had no choice but to serve my husband with an instant coffee. Our coffee maker was not as efficient as it should be. I wished I brought with me a bunn coffee maker as I know they are very reliable. As for myself, it doesn't matter if the coffee is brewed or instant. A coffee for me is a coffee.

Post Valentine Shopping

Mom Lori brought us to the store for a post-valentine shopping. There were plenty of items like valetine's gifts for wife, candies and other goodies that were on sale for 50% off. I grabbed a couple of chocolates and candies. I also bought some stuff toys. Those items will be great to send to my family in the Philippines.

I always like shopping after a special occasion because items specifically for that occasion will be on sale for 50% off or more. I can always find great buys.

The University of Alabama Difference

The University of Alabama is one of the most prestigious universities here in the state. It has been named as one of the top 50 universities in the US. Just recently the Crimson Tide football team defeated the LSU Tigers 21-0 in the BCS National Championship Game in New Orleans, capturing UA’s 14th national championship. During that event, many wore Alabama apparel in support to the football team. By doing so, it showed solidarity and cooperation among its students and the whole UA community.

I am glad that the university has an online store where I can purchase University of Alabama shirts. Even though I don’t go to school there, I am proud of what the university has achieved and what it has given back to the community. Aside from the shirts, there are also textbooks, other official apparel and gifts. These can be perfect souvenirs for friends who will come over and visit us here. I should have bought some shirts and gifts for my family back in the Philippines, it would have been so nice to see them wearing Alabama apparel.

If given the chance to study again, I would surely choose the University of Alabama for I know it will take me to greater heights.

Yellow Dress

This is what Andrea wore during my parents' Golden wedding anniversary. She looks so adorable in this dress. And she has decided that her favorite color is yellow.

She likes this dress so much that even after the ceremony she wanted to wear this. We were suppose to change into a shirt but Andrea doesn't want to take off this dress.

Campaigns are always expensive. While watching the news, I was really amazed of the campaign budget. It is amazing how these candidates be able to raise funds that will cover their campaign budget.

I happen to think why would they not look for cheap campaign signs? Perhaps it will be better for them not to spend millions of dollars on their campaign. How will they cover up their expenses if they won't win the race?

Politics to me is such a headache that is why I am not into politics.

Baptismal Dress

We decided to have Andrea's Christening in the Philippines. It was just a small event. We didn't even have a big celebration. It was just a family affair.

She wore this beautiful pink dress which her Aunt Terri gave her. The dress was beautiful and perfect for the occasion.

Original Tan Skin

Well, I would say that I got lucky to have a brown complexion as I do not need a tanning spray for my skin. Being a morena is part of the Filipina women unique features. Some foreign people define it as exotic skin. Morena means is having brown skin complexion.

It's funny though because some American women I know wanted to have a tan skin while Filipina women have been using whitening lotion to have a lighter skin. In fact others are willing to undergone some skin whitening treatment or do bleaching to have white skin. As for me, I am happy with my beautiful skin complexion and so is my husband.
