My girl is a shopper apprentice. She already knows what she wants to buy when we are "clothes shopping". The last time we went to the mall, she found this Dora set and she said, Mommy I like this one. Of course, mommy can't say no because I shopped for myself too!

Wrangler is my brother's favorite brand that is why when I saw this shirt, I know I had to buy it for him. He also likes to wear long sleeve shirts for church thus I know this is perfect for him.

Let's Talk About Make-up

I am no makeup person. I have just the basic but I do not use them that often. Let us just say that I keep them for emergency purposes like formal dates with my husband, or any formal event and I need to add more color onto my face. So when nothing like that is in our calendar, they are just in my dresser, waiting to be used.

Over-time, I noticed that Natural Cosmetics have gained much attention in the beauty products scene. Makeup companies have come up with one product to another that boasts how natural it is made. Like there each product is free of ingredients such as parabens, artificial fragrance, sls and phthalates, which could be harmful to our skin.

Personally, I think this is a good move. I really do not want too much chemical on my face. That is why I do not put one makeup on a regular basis. Who does, right? And the faster companies produce products like these, the competition tightens and the prices tend to drop. And when that happens, it is time to take advantage.

On hindsight, maybe I should rethink about putting makeup more often, even just the lipstick. I have a daughter who will probably inherit whatever style I have so I should be a good example.

New Boots

So I said before that I am secretly wishing for a new pair of boots. Every now and then, when I get tired of what I am doing online, I divert my attention and energy to something else. I window shop online. And guess what I found out today as I explore the Internet? I found corral boots on sale!!! I was like, why now? I do not have the money yet for this. I am still saving up for something else.

So I browsed the site intently. I went over each design even if my heart sinks because I cannot buy a pair yet. One design really captured me and until now, I cannot get over it yet. It is a gorgeous pair of soft, vintage brown leather cowgirl boots. The upper is intricately decorated with hot pink and vibrant teal floral designs with cute pink heart resting in the center of the design over both the front and back of the shaft. This is the perfect match for the sundress I bought from GAP recently! Only that I am not buying it now. It can wait. Who knows, if I get extra online work, I would be able to buy it in no time!

GAP Wedge

I got a new wedge! I got this one at GAP. Of course this piece was on sale or else I won't buy it. I am too cheap. I don't want to buy something that is priced so high even if I like it. Thankfully, I got this one for less than $20 so I bought it.

Noise in the A/C closet

I just cannot figure out what is wrong with my air conditioning unit. It works just fine, but sometimes at night there is a loud crashing sound in the closet where it is located. When it first started happening, I thought it was someone in the house and tried to convince my husband that we needed to call all home Security. After the noise became regular, I did a more thorough check on the unit. I honestly cannot find anything wrong. I changed the air filter and cleaned out the return. I checked in the closet to make sure that there was nothing else that could be falling. The noise isn’t a metallic clicking, but sounds like a coat falling of a peg onto the floor. I called an A/C service and they had no idea. They said if the unit was working correctly, I just shouldn’t worry about it. Honestly, it is driving me crazy! It wakes me up in the middle of the night and sometimes startles me. Any idea about what this may be? Please let me know

For the Small Feet

I have small nieces in the Philippines. When I saw these cute little footwear at GAP I know I had to buy it. These are perfect "pasalubong" for them.

These are just but little something but I am sure that the kids would love to own these.

Tungsten Jewelry

A friend of mine wanted to upgrade their wedding bands. What they have now is beautiful but it lacks some weight. Recently, she saw tungsten rings being sold at the malls. She does not have any idea what this metal is and so do I. I asked Google and here is what I found out.

Shopping for Men’s Clothing

It is an open secret that I love to shop. I find it very therapeutic when I am shopping. I especially love it when there are clearance sales or price offs at the malls and at my favorite brands. Right now, I am looking for overalls that I can bring with me to my home country. I am going to give one for my brother who works in the fields, it would be perfect for him during harvest time. I am also planning to buy coveralls for my father and another brother, as they are scheduled to do some repainting in our ancestral house just in time for my parent’s golden wedding anniversary celebration come February.

I was busy searching the Internet when I remembered G and L Clothing Store. A friend of mine referred me to this website a few months back, this is where she was able to purchase overalls and coveralls. They even have those for big and tall clothing. I am just reminded that I can purchase from them too and what’s good about them is that they deliver for free for purchases over $100. I think I will have to start shopping now.

Cupcake Tower Holder

I saw a picture of cupcake tower instead of the common cake during the baptism of one of my friend's son. I was speechless at how good it looks like. I asked her how much it cost. I was stunned at how much is the rent of the cupcake tower holder alone.

I wanted to have a cupcake tower for my parent's golden anniversary. I decided to buy the cupcake tower holder as I am sure they can use it on birthdays and other special occasions. This is a collapsible so this will be easy to store.

Sweet Home Alabama

Have you seen the movie Sweet Home Alabama? It stars Reese Witherspoon, Patrick Dempsey and Josh Lucas. When I saw this movie, I thought I would be seeing lots of University of Alabama shirts but I did not.

The movie is about a rising fashion designer in New York, who almost has everything she wished for since she was young. She has a great career and fiancée. When his fiancée proposed to her, she remembered her family back in Alabama as well as her husband. She has a husband who refuses to sign their divorce papers since she sent them to him. Since her fiancé already proposed, she decided to go back in Alabama to have her husband sign the papers. And you should now watch the movie to know what happened next. Haha!

Seriously speaking, I enjoyed this movie. I love the lines, the costumes of the characters and most especially how the story progressed. I had a good taste of Alabama apparel without leaving the comforts of my sofa! It was a lovely way of spending my me-time, as my husband and daughter had their own bonding. I was right to keep a stock of microwaveable pop corns in the cupboard!

This is the first time that I shopped at Esprit. I just wanted some tshirts. I ordered 4 shirts and I only paid $31. Shipping was free because they offer free shipping for orders $30 and up.

I have noticed that Esprit has bigger sizes compared to Gap or Banana Republic.

Shopping for Hubby

I am married to a six-footer guy and buying Tall Mens Clothing is a skill that I am still in the process of mastering. Being someone who came in a country where only basketball players have such heights, at first I am unable to buy clothing as gifts for my husband by myself because I am so afraid I would get the wrong size.

As time progresses, I have learned the ropes of buying clothes for my husband. There were challenges though that I have yet to overcome. Like there are cases when I am out with just my daughter and I find a really nice top or pants. But when I ask for my husband’s size, they do not have it. Most stores often just have those that fit men who are a little bit shorter. Buying stuff off the rack can be frustrating at times for both of us. It just does not fit right; it may be too big in the waist or too big in the leg or too small in the ankles.

But I know that with patience, everything will fall into their right places. So when we go out to shop for his clothes, we go around patiently. We are both aware that we should take his look seriously and so we do not settle to something that fits him but does not suits his taste and personality.

Gamestop

Hubby is a kid at heart. He loves to play his playstation. He does not like the new versions of play station though. He prefers the old playstation 2 because he loves the games there.

Every now and then, we visit the game stop store to check on their old games and other playstation games that are available. During our visit there, we always find something that hubby likes. Anyway, since he likes to buy some stuff at game stop, I decided to check online for some gamestop coupons. Moisturizing Lotion

My daughter have a very sensitive skin. I guess she got it from my genes. We both have skin eczema that is why our doctor told use a heavy moisturizing cream. The last time we use Eucerin creme in a tub but for convenience I decided to switch on this one. Having a pump is easier.

Eucerin is quite expensive. It is expensive that most known brands. But since it is doctor's recommendation to use this product, I just have to close my eye on the price of this one.

Cleaning up the Closet

Fall season is getting close. I actually felt a hint of fall last night. It was cool. I love fall because after that it will be winter.

Since the season is changing, I was motivated to clean up my closet. It was amazed at how much clothes and shoes I have amassed for the 5 years that I live here in the USA. I have seen some of my winter stuff during my first few months here. They were size 0 and size 1. I know I haven't worn it a lot so they were still in good condition. I actually gave some to my friend because I know she can wear those and it will fit her.

I have clean out a lot of stuff out of my closet. I separated those that are worth saving and dropped it at the donation boxes. I threw some that are not worth keeping. And because my closet has a lot of space now, it is time to shop for some fall and winter apparel. I know I will be looking for some plus size sweaters. I think I will pass on buying new boots as I have plenty that are barely worn. Unless I find something really irresistible, I conditioned my mind not to buy myself a new pair of boots this year.

For Colored Hair

For the first time in my whole life, I had my hair colored. Age is already evident in my hair, I have visible gray hairs already that is why I decided to color my hair with dark brown.

Rain Boots

Last weekend we had a great deal of rain to the point of flooding. My little girl doesn't want to go out because as she said "The rain makes me wet". She then decided that since it is raining, she needs a rain hat, a rain coat, a rain boots and an umbrella. She learned all these stuff from her favorite shows and her books.

So, yesterday, her Nana bought her a new rain boots. When we got home she already tried the boots and she told me that now that she has a rain boots, she can now jump on the puddles.
