Getting Ready for Halloween

I can't believe how the months go by so fast. Tomorrow it will be September and it is already Halloween next month. I felt like it was just yesterday that my toddler and I were enjoying the Halloween festivities.

Halloween is on of the holidays that I look forward to because I like dressing up my little girl. Last year, we attended two Halloween events so she dressed up differently on separate occasions. This year, we are excited to shop for new outfits for her.

Anyway, my friends were planning to hold another Halloween party where all attendees are required to wear a costume. Oh, I know this will be exciting because I have never attended a Halloween costume party. I promised that this year, I will be joining them and I will absolutely have fun. I am starting to look for different costumes that will be perfect for my personality. I have seen different Sexy Halloween Costumes in a catalog and I find them very nice and price-wise, they are in median range.

This year, I have to shop for my little girls and my own Halloween outfit. It will be a lot of fun, I am sure!

When we went shopping last weekend, this is one of the things I bought. This was of course on sale. I bought this for the reason that I want to send it home to my brother. I plan to send another balikbayan box before the year ends and perhaps in time for Christmas.

My friends and I went shopping last Saturday. We were on the car on the way to the outlet mall when we noticed a newly opened business near the mall. The newly opened business is a payday advance. I think that the location of the newly opened business is very convenient for "undisciplined" shoppers. Of course, I don't think I will visit the payday advance just to get money for shopping. I may visit them if there is an emergency. Shopping is not an emergency for me.

Shirts from Guess

Here's another steal from Guess. I like the black one better but the white one is not bad at all considering that I just paid over $5 each for this t-shirts.

I can't resist sale items and I will never pay full price for this kind of shirts. I have collected quite a number of shirts and jeans already. Since we plan to have a Philippine vacation, hubby needs new shirts and some the shirts will be a good "pasalubong" for my brothers and brothers-in-law.

Emergency Cash

In this hard economic times, many people are not ready for emergencies. What I mean is, there are many people who doesn't have the right amount of money set aside for emergency purposes. Speaking of package, I am slowly buying and accumulating some items that I can send to my family for Christmas. My brother requested me to buy him some jeans and my nieces want barbie dolls. I have to get the box ready by October so that it will be picked up and shipped in time for Christmas. Shipping takes almost 2 months.

My Summer Fashion Style

Summer is hot and humid in Alabama. On some days, it can get as hot as 3 digits. It is awful actually but thanks to the aircondition it becomes bearable. This summer has been the hottest one since I migrated her 5 years ago. Truth of that, my electricity bill has increased over 50% from the last month.

Summer days are longer here so at least we can still do things outside. We can go to the park around 5pm or 6pm and enjoy few hours of "day time" in the park. I am not very fond of summer as I don't like the hot weather.

Part of my summer fashion and summer style is wearing shorts paired with sleeveless top or knit tops. With high humidity, I always feel so sticky when I go out, so I make sure that I dress as little as possible. I often prefer to wear flip flops over sneakers. I learned to use sun brim hats and of course, I always make sure that I use a lot of sunscreen lotion. I never fail to teach my child not to forget to put sunscreen lotion when we go out in order to protect our skin from the harmful UV rays.

How Much Will You Spend for a Jewelry?

Jewelries are part of a woman's fashion. Many women can't go out of their house without wearing a jewelry. Some women wears jewelries because it is a form of expressing themselves, for them it is a statement. It expresses their style or even their financial wealth. Yes, expensive jewelries are one of the great visual indicator of a person's wealth.

Many woman will spend a lot of money to buy those expensive jewelries. They will spend considerable amount of money just to show off how many carats of diamonds she owns. Beauty and Beyond

To be beautiful, with a healthy, young and glowing skin is every woman’s desire. Women everywhere are surrounded and bombarded by the many advertisements on TV, radio, magazines and newspapers enticing them to buy beauty, skin, hair products and many other stuff that will enhance their physical appearance. In the malls, various beauty and skin care products are being offered and tried for free. Sample beauty products are also occasionally given out for testing. These products vary from astringents, to beauty bars, night creams and samples of perfumes and colognes.

Personally, I enjoy getting free stuff and I also have beauty rituals that I do to keep my skin clear and blemish free. But sometimes when I ran out of the products that I use, I try to make homemade skin care products. Sometimes my little daughter would ask me to teach her how to exfoliate because she always sees me doing my skin regimen rituals. Later when she’s old enough to know how, I will teach her.

A friend of mine is terribly experiencing tooth ache. What’s unusual is that he is afraid of going to the dentist. This is one of his phobias, but he also needs to have the tooth extracted or else he would continue to suffer from the pain. His work has been somehow affected and he cannot concentrate on doing his tasks and activities. He has to go to the dentist and have his appointment.
