Comfortable Summer Dress

Whew it is super hot! The heat index is over 100, which is too hot for me! I am one of the few who doesn't welcome summer although I super love wearing summer dresses. The only good thing about summer is the fact that I can wear fashionable and comfortable summer dresses. I like the styles and colors of summer dresses. I always feel confident when I wear a summer dress and paired it with a wedge or high heeled shoes/sandals. Besides fashion, I don't like summer at all.

Summer in Alabama is almost unbearable due to its humidity. I feel yuck with a sticky sweat when I go out. Thanks to the airconditioner that is working 24 hours a day or I will be miserable.

Despite the hot weather, I just can't stay at home all summer long. With a toddler who enjoys the outdoors regardless of the weather, I have no choice but to go out and let her enjoy the outdoors and do some activities outside. I often go out late afternoon and stay outside until dark and I also make sure that my daughter and I are dressed properly and we have enough fluids in us.

The Big Changes

Transitioning from one job to another is hard enough but I’m moving into a new house right now, too! It’s my first place and between the repair people I’ve had out there and the moving company I’m just so stressed at the end of the day I can barely stand. Being a mom is not easy. It seems like your day is not enough to do all the necessary things. It is a tiring yet fulfilling job. Few weeks ago my friend went to Las Vegas to visit her sister and explore the city at the same time. Her family was able to visit some famous places and watch some of the famous las vegas shows. Hubby uses certain cologne or aftershave that suits my taste. I can't stand those strong smelling cologne. I get headaches with them that is why hubby uses light scent.

When I found these colognes, I like its scent that is why I bought a couple. I was not sure that hubby would like it but when I told him that I found something new for him to try, he absolutely loved it! He both like the colognes I bought. Of the white elixir and blue elixir that I bought, he likes the white better.

Personalized Souvenir

I have been blogging for over 3 years now. It seems like it was just yesterday when I started. At first, blogging was just a way to ease my boredom being a stay at home mom-to-be. I was able to chronicle my pregnancy to birth. Later on, I learned how to earn money through blogging and I got hooked with it.

Over the years, I have befriended fellow bloggers and fellow stay-at-home mothers. It is a great feeling to know somebody whom you can share your daily experiences and struggles being a wife, a mother and being away from your native land. Beautiful Teeth

One of the first thing that I notice when I am looking to a person's face is the teeth. Beautiful set of teeth always captures my attention mainly because I don't have them. Beautiful teeth are one of my many weaknesses.

I grow up in a poor family and visiting the dentist for check-up and cleaning was not included in the priorities. I didn't grew up with proper teeth hygiene. We can't even afford to buy toothpaste. When we became financially better, we then started to go see the dentist but the damages have been done. Although, I am still thankful that the dentist was able to save most of my teeth.

Now that I have a little girl, I see to it that she goes to the dentist for check up and cleaning. I want her to have a beautiful set of teeth when she will have her permanent teeth. I am glad that I found a very good dentist for her. We had a very bad experience with her first pediatric dentist that's why we ditched her. I am in hopes that we can continue to maintain my daughter's dental health so that when she grows older she can smile confidently knowing that her teeth are healthy and beautiful.

DKNY Shirt

This is for me is a steal! I got this long sleeve shirt at DKNY for less than $10. Its selling price is $65. It was in their clearance rack. I know it is still too hot to wear long sleeves at this time, but hubby can wear these in few months.

Shopping for this week...

I have been hunting good buys and sales stuff and I have been lucky this week. Actually just yesterday, I bought 3 shorts for 2.88 each. They are just so perfect for this hot summer. I am looking for some apple bottom shorts but I was not lucky enough to find it at the local store near us.

This week has been a busy shopping week for us. Actually it is more of just going out because we really just check different stores and if we see that they don't have the prices we want to pay for an item, we then check another store.

T-shirt Giveaway

When my sisters got married, I helped them plan for everything. I have done so many wedding preparations in my whole life and I enjoyed doing it. Now that my parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, we plan to have a renewal of vow for them. It will be like getting married the second time around. Their anniversary will be on February next year. My sister who lives in New Jersey and another sister who lives in New Zealand will all be coming home for my parents' renewal of vows.

For the big celebration, I am in-charge of the giveaway. I told my sister that I want some custom t-shirts for the giveaway. It would be printed with my parents' names and the word 50th Wedding Anniversary. I haven't decided yet what color of the tshirts will I choose. My first choice will be black shirts and gold prints. If my parents' doesn't like the black shirt then perhaps I can use white shirts.

The date of my parents' anniversary is getting closer and I am getting excited each day. I can't wait to come home to Philippines because it has been over two years since the last time we were there.

These are my grabs from Bath & Body Works. They had their semi-annual sale so these products were sold at 75% discount. I also bought a couple of other things and I was lucky that I just paid 25% of the selling price of their beauty products.

Receipt Please

I always demand for receipt whenever I buy something. I often use debit card when I shop so getting a receipt is my way of keeping up on my spending. Most stores now have receipt printer attached to their cash register.

I also like keeping my receipt because I can easily return the item should there is something wrong with it when I get home. I am just lucky that returning items you buy in the store is very easy here in the USA. Unlike in the Philippines, you will undergo so many questions when you returned an item back.

Sand Gone

Desktop

Few months ago I bought a new Ordinateurs de bureau. Yes, a new desktop computer. I have been dreaming of owning one because I believe that using a desktop will be better for me as I use my computer for many hours every day. I believe that it is not advisable for me to use my laptop for over 10 hours a day sometimes that is why I decided to invest in a very reliable desktop. The big problem is, I am not used to using the desktop anymore. My fingers are no longer used to the keyboard and I can't type as fast as I want to. It is a shame that I spent a lot of money buying a desktop but I haven't used it for over a month now.

Easy Cleaning

I am very satisfied that our apartment has a laminate floor in the living room area. I just wish that they will put laminate floor also to our bedrooms. Having a laminate floor is a lot easy to clean compared to a carpet one. We used to have carpets in our living room and cleaning it means spending a lot of time manually scrubbing it especially if my daughter will spill something on it. Cleaning our living room was such a struggle for me before but now, I can easily clean it. Even if my daughter will accidentally spill her drink or anything, no worries as I can easily wipe it off without any effort to make sure that it won't stain the floor.
